“ParisBerlin>fotogroup is a collective of Paris and Berlin based photographers, working in complementary domains such as fashion, portrait and documentary. The exhibition “Paris-Berlin. Europe – a shared look” presents work by the ParisBerlin>fotogroup photographers as well as by other French and German photographers. Simple stories from the ordinary life of two European capitals reflect the natural spirit of a modern megapolis – flamboyant and contradictory. In the context of the global society and its manifestations, such as mixture of nationalities, acceleration of life speed, ubiquitous commercialization, what is still essential? Humans continue to love, wonder, and create – just live their lives! The borders disappear, but the genius of place, some peculiar feature that any city has remains. It is a rare and happy chance to be able to contemplate it in such a polyphony of perspectives.” Ksenia Fedorova & Alisa Prunikova, curators from EB NCCA, Ekaterinburg.
